Another girl in Lera's room, Sasha (soon to be Sarah) is being adopted by Cecile, who is from Montpelier, France. She speaks very little English.... so I have really enjoyed practicing my French with her! And, she can understand me, which is a bonus.
Russ brought this hat, which Lera really liked. When Lera put it on, Cecile said, "She looks like American girl!"
This is Melanie, posting from Jim's. Are you planning to call her Lera? I read from top to bottom and I was thinking - who's Lera?? I guess that I'm easy to confuse today! It sounds like everything is going really well; what an experience for all. We need to try the Skype thing with Lillian. ReplyDeleteIf you want to Hickeyize her you should call her Brat #3. Looks like everyone is getting along very well. The Skype thing was an excellent idea! I'll bet K and A feel like they are really keeping in touch with Ma and Pa AND getting to know Lera. So Russ like to play and tease her huh; Has he asked her to pull his finger yet?
Did the French mom bring Sasha/Sara the headpiece she's sporting? Pretty haute couture, but then that is the difference between France and the U.S.
