Here are a few pix from our last few visits with V:

We have also had a few fun extracurricular activities: Dinner with other adopting families at Ukrainian, Georgian and Armenian restaurants - a lot of good food in this town! Natasha invited us to her daughter's dance recital at the civic theatre - it was a great show; we were really impressed with the dancing, the costumes and the production in general. And today, we visited the studio of a local artist (he is the husband of Lera's doctor at the baby house, and is quite talented). We bought a small painting to help us remember our trip. It was a fun afternoon.

So glad you guys got a painting to remember Kaz by! We sure love having ours.
ReplyDeleteThe best of luck tomorrow, I can't wait to wake up and read that you're Lera's official parents!!!
Aus & Russ--
ReplyDeleteSitting here in the Chicago airport, just arriving from a quick biz trip to London, and couldn't wait to check your blog, which is just so well done and exciting to read and a great way to share just a morsel of the excitement of your adventure. As I write, I hope it's true that there is now "one less orphan in the world" (and, as a result, one more Hickey...). Stay safe and well, continued good fortune as the process unfolds, and give Lera another hug from Uncle Bard for me!
We assume all went well in court. Would love to have seen Russ's flip charts for his presentation to the judge. We are hoping for an uneventful trip home for you too. Ma has all the pix I've printed and has shown them all around her bridge circuit. She is a cute little girl and has you both firmly wrapped and her little finger.
